I've emailed a couple of people at the LA office, and have got no response yet.
I did get a response from Glenn Scott Lacey, who confirmed that he composed Power Rangers music which was used in Digimon Series 1.
Also, the latest issue of Film Score Monthly has an interview with Inon Zur. HHe talks briefly of the Saban days, so that might be something to look at.
I've still got a couple of tricks up my sleeve, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.

Oy! I found this thread using Google, and boy was I surprised! I've been trying to get my hands on this same music for the past FIVE years! It looks like you all made a lot of the same discoveries as I did: I looked up the people who originally worked on the Score, and attempted to contact them. Edgardo Simone replied to my emails twice, but then stopped suddenly. I never was able to contact Shuki Levy, since his webmaster acts as a liason. Udi Harpaz responded saying he is unable to help with the search of the music, and hasn't responded to any of my e-mails since. It's almost like someone somewhere is purposely blocking any attempts to find this music! I don't want to claim conspiracy, but it IS pretty suspicious! I have copies of the samples on Udi's website, (God, I love Page Sources), and the DVD rips. Let me know if I can do anything to help with the search, and I'll continue doing solo work on my end in the meantime.

Bug Music themselves are suspiciously quiet over this. It makes me wonder if something IS in the pipeline - silence tends to be people's way of saying something is coming but they're not allowed to say what. The music has almost no practical use elsewhere since whoever gets the rights to the next seasons of Digimon will probably go with a new composer anyway, and aspointed out, a company such as Bug are unlikely to have bought the rights to the entire catalogue just because they could.

Didn't know about Bug music acquiring Saban's music, so I took the opportunity to give them a call at their main LA office. The receptionist proceeded to make me look like an idiot. I can't help it if I can't convey my thoughts into words very well! Anyway, after she kinda sorta figured out what I was trying to ask, she transferred me to a voicemail. I left am message and contact info, and If I hear anything back, I'll let you guys know.

Bad news: none of the Saban stuff has entered Bug Music's system yet, so no Digimon music is available even to their partners (some of whom would possibly be ok with sharing).
The Bug LA office has been hesitant to respond to emails --- perhaps they're waiting for everything to enter their system before they decide what to do with it. A nastier possibility is that they may be unable to release it without Disney's blessing, and Disney are well known for being impossible to reason with about such things..
nextheslayer: It's always nice to hear from more Digimon score fans. There's not a lot that can be done at the moment, save for pestering the Bug Music and trying to clean up the music we have.
Good luck, -- Sulix

Thanks for the encouragement! I got a reply from Rob Christensen at the LA office of Bug Music via e-mail which said the following: "Thanks for your message. You are correct that we represent the Saban catalog for licensing. Please include a detailed synopsis of your project using the attached document as a guideline. Let me know if you have questions or concerns. Thanks, Rob Christensen Senior Clearance Associate, Film & Visual Media Bug Music, Inc. 323-327-9279" The "attached document" was a Synchronization Quote Request Form, which is used to gain permission to use licensed music for personal projects. I politely replied that our aim was not a project per se, but rather just to obtain a copy of the music in question. Hopefully, I'll receive a response soon, and I'll keep you all updated.

Wow, after all this time and they don't actually have possession of the music? Nice to know they could possibly share when they actually get the stuff. I've been trying to replicate Season 1's Dark Theme but I can't get the strings to sound right. It seems my set doesn't have the strings played in every single way - I can't even get them to sound like they should over the top of Heroic Theme.

I won't go as far as to say that I'm good with music, but I can hear things in music others can't. Send me what you've got, and maybe I can give you some suggestions. I would do some synth-ing, but I don't have the money for the software.

Hi guys, I've been eyeballing this thread for quite some time now, and I thought I'd make an account to be a part of it. I'm ajfromcanada a.k.a. anime_masta, an admin on the Digital Gate forums and a mod on X-Evolution. I was wondering if there's any way that I can help you guys out with this quest, whether it's musically like what Ggctuk is doing (I have a college diploma in applied music), or if it's putting out information to the other two forums and enlisting help from them.
It's a crime to keep music this beautiful all locked up, and I want to do my part to help make it available to the public.

Hi ajfromcanada if you have skill with software, you can try to cut out music parts that don't have vocals and then put it all in 1 file. autoit.net.ee/downloads/rawmaterial.zipbut that's too much and too hard work. You could just annoy bugmusic and others that might own that music. If we got enough people annoying right guys, people with weaker psychology might just give up and send us tracks. Those messages are like water drop to stone - It wears hole in it in a longer period of time. its easy to ignore only me and ggctuk, but the more fans the harder for them to ignore.

Annoy isn't the right tactics. Annoying them could, and probably will alienate them.
What we want to do is, basically, encourage them that a soundtrack release is desirable.

Yeah, I agree with Ggctuk. I think the best way is to convince them that they'll make money on releasing a soundtrack. Gg, if you want me to give that track you're working on a listen, just send it my way and I'll give you some feedback. I happen to know a thing or two about music

How much would you pay for it? I guess you wont want to spend like $100 for those tracks.,.,. If they asked money for that I would have to bury my hope and sadly there would be no way for me to get those tracks then.

Well, I'm not talking anything ridiculous, but there's no way they'd release them for free, that's just not how companies like that run. They're out to make a profit. Now, odds are it wouldn't go for $100 for an album, it'd probably be $10-15 for a CD just like everything else. We just have to convince them that there's enough interest that they'd sell. I'm sure a lot of Digimon fans would go out and buy a physical copy if not just for their own collection. Who knows? Releasing this may drum up enough interest to get a re-airing of Adventure and 02.
