Hey guys! This is a new thing we're doing- A new thread will be done every week or so featuring an interesting fact about digimon that not everyone may have known! So: Digi-Know?Gargomon's name is actually pronounced 'Galgomon'? Yup, that 'r' is actually an 'l'. One of the most common mistakes made while dubbing is that the japanese character that makes the 'l' sound is put as 'r' in english. And the American staff, having not caught the mistake, pronounced the name 'Gargomon'.Ever think it was odd that Terriermon was named after a dog, but the pattern never continued? Well here's your answer: A Galgo is a breed of dog similar to a greyhound, originating in Spain. They are most known for their laid-back temperments, and were used to hunt mainly rabbits. So how many of YOU knew that???

That's interesting. I knew his name was pronounced "Galgomon", but I never gave any thought as to why and how.

"Gaoga" means either "Barking Fang" (Gao being a word for the sound of barking in japanese), or "Dog Fang" (Gao being Cantonese for Dog).
I'll have more of these soon; sorry about that. Family is visting from NY so i've been spendning most of my time with them.
