Since Disney started working with it, it seems Digimon has gone to ... a bad place...
I'm beyond confused. For two seasons they left the Japanese names, and now they changed them... and the names are stupid! Ugh... And not to mention, most of the good parts are cut out! In the first episode, when Agumon kicks Masaru, they blocked it out! He's in pain and we dont know why! and when Touma was bleeding after he fell in the cave with Drigmogimon (sp?) they edited the blood out! It wasn't even bad.... and then they just copied all the voice actors they could from naruto....
I gotta say, the english version ruined a great show...

Yeah, but the english version of the newer ones is getting bad... they're practically making fun of it... i wish we could do something about it.

You could go to the website of whoever owns the American distribution/dubbing of Digimon and write an email expressing your concerns. Chances are they'll completely disregard it, or simply not check it, but you it's still a decent attempt. lol

Well Cartoon Network might host it someday. They might start out later.

Well, once we get to part 2, naruto will likely be moved to adult swim.

Well...I think a part of this retrogression in Digimon also has to do with the writers. Personally, I don't like Savers at all, and I think it strays too far away from the Digimon I know and love. I think they need to go back to the basics. If they find what made most of us love Digimon in the first place, as opposed to doing whatever will get the highest ratings, Digimon will definitely get more dedicated fans such as we are (grammar?).
However, I do agree on the atrocity that is dubbing...dubbing usually makes everything worse, and Disney is like the Dub MONSTER with ironclad contracts for claws and a fear of anything not essentially "American." I think Disney is using Digimon in retaliation for Cartoon Network's P*kem*n (I really dislike P*kem*n). BUT, I have to admit I liked the script in many of the Adventure and Zero2 episodes, as well as in the associated movies. I REALLY liked the music from the movies too!!! However, that era in Digimon was when Digimon was on FOX right?

Well...like I said, I liked some of the dubbing from the movies and the 1st & 2nd season. And by dubbing, I mean more specifically the script.
In the Digimon 1st movie (the Japanese 1st movie) there is a scene with Taichi's father coming home really late at night (right before Agumon jumps out the building) and severely DRUNK. Like crazy DRUNK. This tied in with the Digimon theme of how Digimon help kids overcome their problems in the "real" world. A theme I've always admired about Digimon and a theme which I believe is, and should stay a CONSTANT basic of Digimon. Anyways, in the dubbing, this scene was completely CUT OUT! So most of us just thought Taichi never had a father.
Dubbing to the point of plot change is the type of dubbing (the most common type) I think is absolutely HEINOUS!!!
