after little hacking I could leak music they have on bugmusic player on they're site.. But I dno if posting those direct links to they're tracks somewhere would have any effect. Could you ask Paul Gordon if he know how to contact shuky. he might know Shuky Levy's email since he has been working with him. Then you can post to Udi. Hehe we are here like FBI tracking down the people and investigating probable sources. Edit: now this reply went to page 12. here's topic directed at you newdef.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=digimon&thread=806&post=17950 greythunder Just linked it incase you only look at last page. edit2: post has exactly 1992 views and I was born on year 1992 hehe.

I'm still trying to contact some of the lesser-known people involved with the Digimon score. I've fired off a couple of emails to the head of copyrights at Bug Music and to Glenn Scott Lacey, who composed some music for Digimon (Series 1, I think). I'm yet to email Inon Zur (who worked on some of the Digimon music, especially in the Disney era), who has requested that messages from fans come in the form of Facebook or Twitter requests. Having neither a Facebook nor Twitter account, I'll leave that up to someone else for now. Another person I'm trying to track down is Jim Wheeler, who was music editor for Digimon for almost its entire run, including the movie. He has no website, and I've been unable to find an email address. The only page I can find is his MySpace account: www.myspace.com/bigjimwheeler I've a feeling that, even if he's not able to hand out music, he'd be a great source of information if he could be contacted. Concerning leaks, I think, personally, that it's not going to help -- at least immediately. Bug Music have had the rights for less than a year, and it'd be a bad idea to prod them until we're sure of their position on the matter. -- Sulix

@ rain - I really don't think he's been in contact with Shuki Levy, he said he'd been disconnected from both Saban and Digimon for 10 years, which is pretty much long before composers realised they could put websites up or have e-mail addresses. If you can actually come across anything, I'd say either download it, or if you can't, try a stereo mix recording.
I'd love some of those e-mail addreses. I think we need to apply as much pressure as we can possibly to see this thing through.

Thank you, but there is not much I can do with the videos you showed me. I have seen all those videos to start with before I found this forum, so I considered them already. I can't do terribly much. If I thought I could, I would have. What that guy did with the second half of the song that you showed me, he did with Audacity, and even with Pro tools as expensive as it is, I wouldn't be able to do any more than that. I believe I posted a video earlier showing the basic idea of what I would be able to do. I'm sorry.

Hmmm... well maybe if more than one of us Emails them?
Also, what could happen is that I could make a full scale cover of the song (I make very good covers, so it would sound great even if not completely like the original) and when it gets a lot of views (with how hardcore a lot of the digimon fans out there are, that shouldn't be hard) we can add that in an Email showing how much people want this song. That may help a bit.
But, my one worry with doing that is that doing covers of songs like that is technically not legal. It is copyright infringement as is to make a cover of a song that I did not get permission to do. Generally you will never get caught or have your video taken down for it, but maybe showing it to them like that could lead to direct trouble...
I really don't know what to do here. Maybe what I can do is create the song, though I could Email a WAV file of the song to someone and they will put it on their youtube channel? I guess it doesn't matter who puts the cover up.
I'll need to think about this. I'm still not sure I want a cover I made on an account that isn't mine. All of my friends and my family would think that would be the strangest thing.

Don't worry about that. It yours intellectual property and there's law can't do anything about it. You don't upload your original. Cover you made is 100% owned by you and all rights over it belongs to you. Worst that can happen is video may get removed from youtube, but I haven't heard anyone get sued because of uploading covers. After all it's your's own music, created by you and does not contain any material from digimon tracks. that just sounds similar to 1 of digimon, but it's not digimon's music. Just look at Sad theme or www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fFAQi89zAUYoutube don't even care about it. So what ever you upload nothing happens you in real life and probably bugmusic wont care if you covered. Just look at what ggctuk uploaded. so far nothing bad happened to him. I dont have youtube account but I could host your files for you on my own server. Edit: ggctuk you got new pm. Edit2: if you want to be one of emailer, here's list for you (hopefully it helps). If we had 10 fans active like that we could have some effect.

Yeah, I think that in this case with copyrights, you are correct. But I think it would only be correct for this song since it has no lyrics. Lyrics are strictly copyrighted, but a song that has no lyrics is a little different. I can just do the song in a different key (Therefore having 100% different notes) and I think it could count as original.
Though yikes... that is a TON of Emails! Also, I don't know if I could get more than 3000 views on a cover I make, if I could even get nearly that many. Maybe we can just try to get the cover that already exists to get a lot more views and comments. Does anyone know the Email of the guy who made it?

I have a full orchestral suite, EWQLSO Silver, so if anybody wants to give MIDIs the orchestral touch just send them to me (although I will need them annotated for what each channel's instrument is). Of course, there's certain effects this won't do though (like the ostinato of the Dark Theme from the first series)

You could convert midi to mp3 later and then add effects you cant do with midi.

I'm rather late to the party on this one, but I did email Saban music group once upon a time to ask if they would ever be putting up tracks from Digimon for sale ala itunes, and the said they were discussing it. But this would have been several years back, and clearly nothin' happened. However, I also want to caution everyone against losing hope. I used to think Batman the Animated Series's orchestra music would never be released, but presto, there was a limited run of the whole score, which is now prominently posted around youtube. So, it can happen, it just takes the fanbase I think!

No, and there's no point because they don't own the music. Don't forget that garbagemon said it was years ago.

thought they might have copy of it. Or maybe they have Shuki's email and Shuki might have tracks.
Have you tried to contact to anyone recently? What about doris@bugmusic.de whose response you saw in one PM.
Edit: I was suggested to try email to LA office. (bug music)....

You know, I can't believe I haven't twigged already. They're staying silent on this, and I have only seen companies stay silent when they do one thing.
They're staying silent because they DO have plans for the music. Perhaps it's too early to tell us anything about this. Perhaps it's because like any other company they won't tell ANYBODY what they're going to do without a press release. Perhaps this is why it took so long to get those 12 tracks I got, and why I cannot get hold of anybody else on the matter of the music - not Udi Harpaz any more (I asked for info not tracks the last time, not Amotz Plessner, not the Shuki Levy webmaster. In fact, Paul Gordon was the only one to respond, because he's not tied to it in any way.
It all seems to fit a pattern of silence I have seen companies do before some big announcement.
Do you have the e-mail for the London office of Bug Music? I might try that. If we get no reply, I will assume my theory is at the last on the right track.
