Has anybody e-mailed udi Harpaz yet to see if he'd be willing to release more of the score? On anotehr note, I notice the track on Shuki Levy's site is partially identical to Udi Harpaz's "The Final Battle" cue, and upon listening further to the film, it's Shuki's that is used, not Udi's version of the theme. How strange. BTW... "Omnimon Born" was the name I came up with for that track when I made the set. Thankfully since the clean material has surfaced, I've gone and added it in, although don't expect a re-release any time in the future. Mainly because there's still loads missing

I got a reply. He said basically his hands were tied because the rights to the music do not belong to him but to the production company, which in this case is either Disney or Saban.
Oddly enough, giving a listen to what we do have against the film, it seems they chose to use Shuki Levy's "Final Battle" over Udi Harpaz's during the Cherubimon fight scene.
It'd be nice to at least get ahold of the DVD stem version of the soundtrack.

All I can say is that I replied to his e-mail to ask about who currently owns the rights to the music and he asked if I would like him to send some Digimon MP3s. He didn't mention specific ones, nor did he mention whether I'd be allowed to share them or not. Here was my first reply:
The film scores of which I speak are the Star Wars Prequel scores and we might have just gotten victory on that front. If LucasFilm can budge on that, Disney certainly can.
I haven't heard back yet. It may be that as of yet the majority of the music does not exist in an MP3 format because tehre was no apparent call for a soundtrack release, so he'd have to have the raw 24-channel stems compressed down into 2-channel MP3.

It sounds bit strange... You make something and then you are not allowed to share it because u sold it to someone..... grr
I think Disney is not going to release MP3s (because such big comanies dont care abput what ppl want) unless 10000s of fans would call and mail them dayly. But I highly doupt if digimon fans count > 5000 if we count in fans from all possible sites...
Isn't there any trick/hole in laws that allows Udi to drop all Disney's rights from his music? for example he could say he was drunk when he sold rights, and that might return rights back to him.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. He didn't sell the rights to the music. They belong to Saban and now Disney by default because the score was for the show. However do not say never... Joel Douek got permission from 4Kids to post most of the unreleased Yu-Gi-Oh! score so anything is possible.

lets hope that they post all digimon's musics. Some musics would take month to put 1 together from episodes + it would requite you kno know all serries and all episodes + you need to be skilled autio editor and you even might have to rewrite/generate some parts (those that you cant just cut/paste due noise) of background music (in this case it may take year or 2 to get music that is exactly like original).

While I wait for Udi Harpaz to respond, I have a few videos I'd like to share of the soundtrack: English Theme comparison - comparison of the English versions of the theme - an edited-down version of the Full Theme inluded on the CD and the actual TV theme taken from Paul Gordon's website. Digimon Unreleased - BlackWarGreymon's ThemeRevealing Digimon (Partly unused - the sync's a bit off here as I used the Japanese version over the English version. The Final Battle (Udi Harpaz - unused) - this is the one off the site. It had to be pitched up to match though... the version used in the film is Shuki Levy's interpretation, heard in the Digimon Score Selection #2 link somewhere above this post.

It also depends on whether that's Udi Harpaz doing the track in the film. If it is it won't match the same theme from the series, which is done by Shuki Levy on synthesisers.
