Having read Jeff Nimoy's interview with Chris mcFeely, he mentioned the first cut of the film, which did not have the third movie. It made me wonder if it was this cut Udi Harpaz scored. If so, then that means that "Final Battle Scene" was homeless at the time. I think not. Take a watch of this and tell me what you think: www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8NLQ2-JRv8

I have heard nothing back from Udi Harpaz. It's been about three months since he offered to send me a few Digimon MP3s and he hasn't even bothered to reply back. Even a simple "It's out of my hands, sorry" would have done. Don't offer something you don't plan on giving.

I could write spmple program for you that would send millions emails/day if you want But I guess it wouldn't help buecause he probably don't want to give his music out. When was the last time you wrote to him?

Maybe he found out that you gonna post it here, and now he dont want to share anymore. now it's dec 6, try once more. Dont ask for music, just asks him if he remembers you.

I never said I was going to post it anywhere. In fact I actually promised him in my first that I would not. But I guess it's worth a shot. I might need help wording it though. I'm going to say something along the lines of "Maybe you were too busy to reply, so no hard feelings."

1 chance is that he read this forum and and found that himself. .... Even if you say here in big red text that you are not going to share it with us, he probably wouldn't give you that music if he did happen to read this topic.... Or maybe promising him not to share it made him cautious.

Or maybe promising him not to share it made him cautious. Yeah, I guess that might have made him suspicious. However I am good to my word there. I don't mind telling people what I have, but I cerntainly wouldn't share it without prior permission and I felt I had to make that clear myself. It would be the same way if I suddenly got offered the Star Wars recording sessions by John Williams (although I have more of a chance of winning the lottery ) I'd love to even have sheet music for it. I'm getting a keyboard for Christmas so I will be learning to play it, so I'd love to recreate some arrangements of the music myself. Well, while your figuring it out, does anybody know what this is? Starts just after 2:25 It's all Japanese music, none of this was used at all in the English version. ===== I feel like pointing this out as a general observation, although I shall quote straight from my video description (I posted the video above): Strange... why go to all the trouble? I'm sure the music was easily adaptable.

I feel like also pointing this out, although I shall quote straight from my video description (I posted the video above): I know its all japanese, i'm not sure if it was acctually made for the film or not, i doubt it was because i can easily find all the japanese music, appart from this. I thought maybe its from somewhere else, after all the first japanese film has bolero in it. And was that quote directed at me? If it was, why? because its irrelevant to my question.

No, that was just a mere observation. Perhaps I should use a separator to avoid confusion.

Guess what? I am now in possession of some of the recording sessions from Digimon: The Movie! They include the alternate takes used in the film! Here's my break down:
01 - Pepper Flame (Attacking the truck, searching for Kari, Parrotmon Appears) 02 - Parrotmon Attacks 03 - Greymon Down 04 - I don't recall this being used in the film. It sounds like the theme used when Kuramon eats all the data. It could possibly be "4 Years Later", so I've named it thus. 05 - This is the theme used when Gennai and the Digimon appear. 06 - Another Greymon vs Parrotmon theme, also used in the final fight. 07 - "Revealing Digimon". However it is different from the one on Udi Harpaz's site, in fact this is the one used in the film (although there it is cut down) 08 - "No Sleep Tonight" - this IS the same on on Udi's site. (09-16 are absent but I don't mind one bit, what I did get was more than I dared hope for!) 17 - "Heroic Theme" AKA Omnimon Born (In the film a piano is overlaying this, but it sounds more... heroic without. Perhaps this is an alteration by Shuki Levy?) 18 - WarGreymon and MetalGarurmon Attack - Infermon Digivolves ("The Mega Digimon Battle") 19 - Diaboromon Multiplies ("Back To The Beginning") 20 - Unidentified but sounds like an upbeat version of the music when the Diaboromon defeat WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. I think it probably was meant to be used where "Let's Kick It Up" went. So I've named it "Destroying the Clones".
A lot of this music suggests to me that, yes, the movie was indeed scored differently to how it was edited. The two versions of "Revealing Digimon" suggest edits made to the final versions of the film.
Absent are "The Flower Field" and the alternate "Final Battle Scene", but they are absent because they were done by Shuki Levy.
