That SkullGreymon cover sounds quite different from original theme. I see that you have put some effort into it which I appreciate.
Digimon The Movie - Aftermath Is interesting find. I cant remember hearing that before.

It's not a find, it's my own cover of the cue. It is heard in the movie but it got cut down - the opening was omitted. It scores the end of the first part of the film, when Kari's calling out to Greymon after the battle scene concludes. I know that's how it starts because it features in the episode "A Million Points Of Light" in full. The opening three notes were used in the film much later before the brief portion of Heroic Goodbye after Kerpymon is defeated.
As for SkullGreymon Rises, I tried to get it as close as possible, but the strings are a tricky issue there. That's where it sounds really different.
And, I lied. I got these finished today: the orchestral Digimon theme. There's two endings, so I covered them both:
These are as close as I can get them.

How does it work? do you have some selection of notes which you just drag and drop on sound track or can you also modify these notes. I don't get it - why cant you get any closer? Is there some software limitations or is it just that it would too much time identical one? Those longer notes least from few seconds to 10 or 20 seconds sound more realistic. But those short ones aren't even played in way human could play them. I am not saying anything bad about these. Just trying to understand what makes some notes be so different.I didn't fully understand what you meant by this: "but the strings are a tricky issue there"
What software did you use?

That ostinato can be played, and has been played by people, as evidenced by the original version, and also by the similarly-structured ostinato in Duel of the Fates from Star Wars.
I'm using FL Studio. The difference is, it's not live, so there's one sample used for a note instead, whereas if it were live, a person plays a note differently each time, and there are certain effects I can't create because of this, so I try to go as close as I can but if I can't get closer, I leave it as it is.

In other words you can use samples that you cannot edit? Downloading demo of it atm to get better overview. Do you have FL studio native format (if it has any) where I could add and remove and move sounds it's made of. I would just like to try how it works. Edit: I figured it's quite difficult make something nice on it. But it looks like you can use any note and aren't just limited to given sequence. But how can you make anything longer than few sec? It looks like you are limited to that sample that lasts few sec and that's it. Is there way to copy music from digimon and then just cover that vocal removal tool couldn't remove? Makes me think that there could be some alternatives that also have live alternativeto.net/software/fl-studio/ I also found something about live www.youtube.com/watch?v=lScMphtRUdw but didn't understand it much. Not sure if this info helps anyone at all...

Hi there everyone. I saw some of you were looking for some of the unreleased music from Digimon The Movie. I had been trolling around tumblr and came across this page called Digimon Melodies. They had a ton of links up, but most of them were mainly Japanese themes. The person then posted a link to a zipped folder which is on mediafire. (This link here: www.mediafire.com/?7416ylop5wvbmon ) It contains 31 songs. This is the listing of the songs on there: 1 - Digimon Main Theme 2 - Looking For Digimon 3 - No Sleep Tonight 4 - Where's Agumon 5 - Pepper Flame! 6 - Parrotmon Appears 7 - Advancing Parrotmon 8 - 4 Years Later 9 - Revealing Digimon 10 - Revealing Digimon (Alt Version) 11 - Gennai and the Digimon 12 - Hold Your Monster 13 - Into the Internet 14 - The Mega Digimon Battle 15 - Final Battle Scene 16 - Back to the Beginning 17 - The Power of Love (the song when Tai and Matt go into the computer) 18 - Heroic Theme (the song when Omnimon is born) 19 - Destroying the Clones 20 - The Flower Field 21 - Heroic Goodbye 22 - Run Around 23 - Stranger 24 - Here We Go 25 - Turn Around (this song isn't in the movie. It's an HQ version of the song Matt's band sings in season 2) 26 - Hey, Digimon 27 - Let's Kick It Up 28 - Going Digital 29 - Digimon Suite 30 - Digimon Original Theme 31 - Optimistic The person who created the folder added a word document into the zipped folder explaining that these were from a demo cd and some of the songs had alt. versions and others that were on the cd weren't in the final cut of the movie. Anyway, thought I should share this with you guys because some of you were looking for background music. Anyway, enjoy!~ misskristen

Yeah, that stuff originated from here. Somebody I sent that music to did the indecent thing and leaked it out to FFShrine. We've had words through e-mail, and he's even pestered me for a while to see if I've gotten anything new (the nerve). In any case, we're doing what we can with this. It wasn't from a demo CD either - AFAIK the only 'demo' is a composer promo consisting of eight - yes, eight - tracks (all of which we have).
I have some tidbits I can share - Amotz Plessner answered my PM (this is not the whole PM but the answers to the questions I posed):
I was right - they scored traditionally, against a print of the movie. That's quite significant in my book, and it also adds weight to my notion that the movie was edited again post-score.
The way I see this is that Udi did part 1, Amotz did part 2, and part 3 was split between them. It also confirmed my suspicions: neither "Revealing Digimon" nor "Final Battle Scene" were written by Udi, instead by Amotz, which explains why the cues on Udi's site are not the actual recordings for the movie. Truth be told, I honestly prefer Amotz's version, it's a much better cue with those comedic-sounding brass shifts when Kokomon's juggling the Digimon.
I am beginning to think "4 Years Later" actually goes against the scene where Infermon goes to America. I can't line the music up myself right now as I'm away on holiday.
I forgot to ask about whether I'm right in my assumption that there was orchestral music for scenes which ended up with licensed songs. I've asked him. It may take a while for Amotz to respond though, please understand, as he's no doubt a busy person.
It also seems that Shuki Levy only composed the main theme, so that's why he's credited in Digimon - as he wrote the main theme, anything that uses that theme has his name attached to it, even if the cue in question wasn't composed by him. That's also why he doesn't have any of the music beyond what's on his site.
Maybe somebody should pose these questions to Udi, though it won't be me, for obvious reasons.

These questions:
Add whatever other questions you want to (don't ask for tracks - that's the quickest way to get cut off - and sometimes they respond with offers to send tracks anyways. Mentioning favourites is probably okay though, since you're not asking, just don't link to anything there).

Yo guys, I have been following this thread for the last two years, kind of shadowing it. I'm obsessed with soundtrack music, so when I started looking for Digimon music four years ago, I really kept at it until I saw you guys start working towards it. Truth is, I don't have a lot of information or ways to find information (best I did was contact Shuki Levy two years ago, and that failed). I also have no computer skills to kind of take noises away and clean out a track. I'm amazed at how far you guys went and I'm so happy right now!!! I made an account to thank you guys and to ask for something. My favorite track from this show is this one right hurrrr.... 2:59 until 4:00. I ripped it off YouTube and cut it up, but everyone's talking in my personal track. You could say I memorized all the lines in that one minute, but I would love to get something more clear. Dunno how I could do that and I'm not computer savvy whatsoever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kBrEmHClAY

Can't say you're alone ladycroft. Fact is, that piece was great, and there were so many others just dripping with emotion and beauty throughout the first season, it truly is a shame they were never released on any sort of soundtrack. I too have been shadowing this thread, and all I can say is a gigantic BRAVO to Ggctuk! Your dedication to the music of this series shows through in your covers. Perhaps the sounds are not exactly like those of the live orchestra, however, you capture the spirit, the very essence of the music exactly, and it becomes fairly easy to ignore that you are in fact covering the tracks. Your own heart and care and enthusiasm in recreating these pieces of music are quite evident! On the subject of live sounds... I went looking and found this orchestra site featuring a library of samples of various instruments: www.philharmonia.co.uk/thesoundexchange/make_music/samples/library/It'd take someone like Ggctuk with the dedication and patience to really bring it out and use this resource... but I was impressed by their vast library of notes and instruments. Unfortunately, I'm no conductor, so I'd be hard pressed to name every instrument heard in a given piece of music. But I always get goosebumps watching the first season when the songs come on with those soulful clarinet leads, or the lonely flute so often heard floating away. Ah heck, what can I say, I loved the music as much as the show then and I do now, too. On a separate note, I was kicking around this Underground Music site Amotz Plessner is part of, underground.sourceaudio.com/#explorer?a=4763 , and if you listen to the track titled RomanticEQ, I was reminded of some of his work on Digimon, there's a definite echo of the work there...

ladycroft I liked that track and post you made. If you can find that track with less noise you could use some simple noise removal tools. Current track is too quiet in comparison to speech which means you won't get anything good.

Ah, I remember the Phiharmonia set. I last checked it out when I was in college. It seems to have expanded greatly since then. Might have to check it out to see if there's any other percussion sounds that might come in handy.
