And if they don't want to give you tracks, you can post tem an other letter to ask if they know how to contact Shuki Lewy.

I never asked for them to give me tracks. The letter was posted in the post above. I asked if they had any plans for commercially releasing the Digimon soundtrack. Trying to contact Shuki Levy would provide no leads, I think. They wouldn't actually give out details of a client, and in any case, I think considering that he no longer owns the rights, I don't think he'd be willing to give us anything.
The letter quoted:

What? Do you want to say that you willingly pay for those tracks? I can't rest until I don't have all the tracks... every time I add digimon's tracks directory to VLC's playlist I feel like something is missing. I know what that something is. But worst thing about this is that I cant do anything about it. if only I had Shuki's contact. I could at least try ... Edit: I found this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fFAQi89zAU&feature=related

Thats really good, people are getting better at isolating tracks out of films, soon someone will hopefully do it perfectly.

I think it's because software is getting better. if you compare audio software to what it was in 1999 then you surely find that 2011 software can isolate tracks better. I believe by 2015 or 2020 we have software that would ask you for directory that contains digimon episodes and then it would auto isolate all tracks.
Of course it also possible today, but it would require us to hire professional.
I think it's impossible to isolate music out of film perfectly without remaking some unrecoverable parts.

While ggctuk's been looking into the "Digimon: The Movie" music, I've been looking for some of the music from after Disney bought the rights to the show. There are some interesting thematic and leitmotivic elements to the score, and -- despite being synth -- is a melodic and enjoyable listen.
I've just successfully made contact with Deddy Tzur, who composed the second half of series three and series four. He's busy at the moment, but has agreed to discuss the score with me in March. He seems happy to talk about the behind-the-scenes compositional process involved in scoring Digimon, as well as the rights, so that's something to look forward to.

BTW: If either rain or ggctuk are still open to sharing the Udi Harpaz's mp3s, I'd love to hear them. :)

What? Do you want to say that you willingly pay for those tracks? Would you not? An old saying is that nothing in life is for free, and if my letter gets the response I'm after - even if a free composer promo with a little less music that we'd all want is given, or whether they go down the route of a full-blown set, or even if they do a Joel Douek - then I have done my job. My intention is to get the music released in any form. I don't actually expect a reply though. As I said, we're now dealing with a corporation. I think if you wanted to get in contact with Shuki, you could ask Haim Saban, his former partner, if he knew of how to contact him.

I have not yet had a reply, but I should imagine they are very busy and my letter has probably been put at the bottom of the pile.
EDIT: No response on the letter. It's been almost a month since sending it. Eh, I figured that wouldn't get any response, but it was worth a shot to be sure. I'm now chasing them up on Twitter. There they seem more capable of responding.

Trying to edit together the film version of Heroic Theme and I think a realization has crept up on me: The take that Udi gave me IS the correct take, and the version in the film is a severely chopped-up and reordered version with extra instrumentation thrown over the top of it. What made me realize this is that I can manipulate the pitch of certain notes, and as such, the second 'missing' bit revealed itself to me - as a loop of the measures at 0:07 of Heroic Theme, with a couple of bits simply pitch-changed with extra violins thrown over the top of it. The ending notes before it kicks into the next theme (the theme used in the Train Scene later on in the film) are just sped up.
I am adamnat about the presence of the Electric piano. If you have the 2 CD bootleg that's been floating around (BTW which I made) give a close listen to the section matching the material from 0:21. Listen again and again, I swear you'll pick up the higher notes of an electric piano.

Hi there everyone,
I hate to make an account on here just to join in on one specific discussion, but I've been trying to hunt down music from Digimon: The Movie, or at least confirm that some of this music exists outside the movie. I'm really excited that I found a forum like this and a few others that are still active (albeit not very much)! Anyway, I read that you've gotten your hands on quite a few tracks, but I'm not even sure that what I'm looking for is included in there, or even exists.
I've been looking for the version of the Digimon Theme that is featured in the movie. It's slightly different from the soundtrack version, as it includes trumpets and stringed instruments (and also the little melody bit where Greymon and Parrotmon lock hands). It's played longer during Part 3 of the movie when the Digimon armor digivolve before fighting Antylamon.
I'm not sure if it's a real track or just the main theme with overlaid orchestral music. I've also been looking for a plain instrumental version of the theme and the song "Run Around". No luck with those either. I'd appreciate it greatly if you guys could point me in the direction of where to look, or could at least tell me if I'm looking for something that exists or not.
(P.S. I think all Digimon names should be added to the dictionary. It's frustrating having AutoCorrect's red squiggly line appearing under half the paragraph!)

Hello and welcome to this site. I made my account to create this topic. "Run Around" should be on youtube. before I created that topic I used to google like a crazy. www.youtube.com/user/Garface2k8#p/a/f/0/MJvpOrzcGbIdid you follow links of fist page of this topic? I posted some mp3 links. (also look other links on this topic) And someone posted this link somewhere above. That's what for wide public. If you want something you could try to contact Shuky Levy. Les us know if you manage to get answer from him (remember, you have to ask them tracks as indirectly as possible, as soon as you include "could you send me those tracks" your letter will (probably) be ignored).

You won't find the music you're after. It is indeed orchestral material layered over the synthesised stuff (the synthesised stuff being the Main Theme, but with it being synthesised they can just add or remove instruments)

technotsunami: The music you're looking for is either ASCAP Work ID# 348105428 or ASCAP Work ID# 348105446 (both titled "DIGIMON THE MOVIE CUES" or "DIGIMON THE MOVIE - BG CUES"). As ggctuk says, you'll have difficulty getting a clean copy. The rights are owned by Bug Music, who are operating under the name Eifoata Music for the purpose of the Digimon (and presumably other Saban) rights. ggctuk ripped the music from the dvd a couple of years ago, including that music, but it is covered with sound effects and not brilliantly listenable. Paul Gordon and Shuki Levy are the most likely composers. We've had no luck contacting Levy, but you might have a chance asking Paul Gordon. Concerning "Run Around", it's also owned by Bug Music, and was composed by Jeremy Sweet, Shuki Levy and Haim Saban. You'd have to ask them about the possibility of an instrumental version. The BMI website has a listing for their work on Digimon: The Movie, but no ID number. repertoire.bmi.com/title.asp?blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&page=1&keyid=0&ShowNbr=727800000&ShowSeqNbr=18&querytype=WorkIDggctuk, The BMI and ASCAP websites are helpful in tracking down who actually worked on Digimon: The Movie. It doesn't seem like you've had much luck so far trying to get Bug Music on twitter. The licensing form on their website requests BMI or ASCAP names or numbers. I don't have a twitter account, but perhaps you can elicit a better response with the numbers. A search for "DIGIMON" brings up everything save the diagetic music like character songs, most of which are named "DIGI TAI SONG" and similar. With some luck, I should have some more info soon. Good luck, -- Sulix PS: I also joined solely for the purpose of this thread.
