I've been thinking about making a NORMAL (aka BIG) Digimon game using GM ever since... But I'm just way too lazy to start... So maybe, just MAYBE, there would be someone that could absorb my ideas (shall tell you in a sec) and translate them into a GAME... So: 1. The game is based on LOTS of Digivolving. Actually, my dream is to make it encompass MOST of the FULL Digidex! A good example is DMA-Digidex with its OVER 1400 digimons!!! Yeah, I'd include different Types (recolors) as well. 2. Also unlocking new Digis, gaining achievements for that. 3. But all the above is basically DW or close. 4. So what's missing? "Digi-Modify! Digimon Attack ACTIVATE!" 5. THAT'S what ALL Digimon games (except MAYBE those new online RPGs, but I haven't played them) are missing!!! 6. Yeah, it's "Pokemon style", but it's also TAMERS style! 7. So, I basically wanna make a game where you: a. Battle. b. Digivolve. c. Gain EXPERIENCE for STATS _AND_ ATTACKS! Runescape + Tibia go DIGITAL! d. Digimons and attacks have Pokemon style types: Normal, Fire, etc. which affects their DMG or even effects. e. You can either USE a Modify Card, OR TEACH it to your Digimon, under required conditions! f. Optional: RPG style Story Mode for much more FUN! g. Anything YOU can think of to make it even BETTER. I'm REALLY looking forward to ANY good input on this. And if by a MIRACLE someone decides to actually CREATE such a game... WOW!!!

I made a MODIFY Card using yugiohcardmaker.net and some param line modifications! www.imageupload.org/download.php?id=62319&type=2DETAILS: 1. [Digimon Name] Modify Card Name. (Obvious, just the name.) 2. LCD of the Digimon on the Modify background. (LCDs from DMA Digidex - there's a plenty of them!) 3. DiGiMoNNaMe-N0x. (Simple.) 4. ELEMENT Attack-style / Modify Effect. (As I said, Pokemon style here; not ALL are attacks - defense, digivolve, etc. too.) 5. Requirements for both SLASH use and TM-use. (Single and learn; can ONLY learn ATK/DEF/status effects of course.) 6. EXP [element] - based on DOWNLOADED DATA!!! Here comes Tamers-style!!! 7. Level, Kind, Element, Type (Vir/Vac/Dat), EXP (normal and elem, both DATA based), Status (Walk/Fly/Swim), Family (see DMA), etc... Modifys I can think of: Attack / Defense (both actually can have double stats, cause battle should be turn-based simultaneously) Digivolve (normal, warp, dna, armor, mode, slide, x, type-change) Status (change, addition) etc. Also, cards can be MERGED or FORGED, open to suggestions. Modify-TMs can either add or replace already learnt ones, max "attacks" per digimon should be, say, FIVE. When digivolving, old attacks should have 50% chance of turning into cards - or just disappear. (No WarGreymon with a pre-set Pepper Breath, NO-NO-NO!!!) OPEN TO ANY IDEAS. Waiting for YOUR reply!!!

So basically you're thinking of making a true core Digimon Tamers style Digimon game where you have a Digimon partner that has a HUGE tree of digivolutions that branches out into different Digimon. And during battles the Tamer can use Digi-modify cards to help his/her Digimon better adjust to the battle or use stronger attacks?

That's the CORE IDEA, yup!!! Plus: attack upgrading, skill system, experience in various fields, etc. A real Tamers RPG. I haven't played the online one, maybe it is somewhat close. Except, I'm SURE it does NOT have a branched out digivolution chart. I'm not very sure how the game should run, probably turn-based to start with. Also, all graphics I actually need in the beginning, I already HAVE!!! That is, LCDs from DMA. Yeah, graphics "level" is close to zero, but that's NOT my goal for now. I could technically even make it TEXT-based, though LCDs make it look way better. My goal is the GAME PLAY, that is, to play AS A TAMER, as close to the Anime idea as possible. Any ideas?

Sounds good on paper, but when developing you'll realize that alot of coding knowlege is required and you'll need a full team to make sure everything is done correctly, cuz if not this game will take years for one person to finish. It's an interesting concept but some ideas for the game just seem a little too much for the game. Like giving a Rookie the power of a Mega? Yeah I don't think so...

You speak as if I plan to make a PROFESSIONAL game, which I'm NOT. It would be quite primitive in the beginning, though could develop into much more complex in time. Also, no, but Rookie able to take down a Champion, sure. Examples: Terriermon vs Gorillamon. Guilmon vs IceDevimon Leomon vs Khumbiramon Growlmon vs some Deva etc.

Sorry for long time away. I found a VERY useful site with LOTS of sprites, including a few MOVEMENTS. I already see how to use them: The big ones are "standing" aka waiting for you to make a move (while in 1x1 BATTLE SCREEN). Also, the 2 last BIG ones are "charge" aka start the battle OR simply attack. The small ones are either map moving OR while-in-battle-on-map moving ones. What I mean is that there are ways to use even these few sprites to make a somewhat decent game ALREADY. And that's a LOT more than I dreamed for after seeing DMA's static LCDs. i am doing big digimon rpg game solo programing in game maker probably will be over in 2020 or nevr i am including everthing from movies , all posible kind of evolutions with items, i am stuck at the main battle code...aka def/atk*hp+debuf minus stun etc etc...so i am almost 24 year old and this is getting kiddish for me as it goes but i wana leave a signature on internet so i think i m doing it rarely when i hv free time..so anyway since every digi game is easy beatable i am gona do extremly hard for the story solo play( u will hv to battle with ur own stats at that moment u are at)and guys i love the god of RANDOM ,so all rand functions gona be all over the game :_) i did ( i am doing it)base for informations for each digimon as they come out from new serials(supposly always new will come from now on) so there u go,i let u know that sum1 is doing something bye

aww i forgot to mention its gona be most like digimon world 2 the playstation but 7 versus 7(when u are rank master afcourse or platinum tamer ) with 6 on 6 background substitution team....1 battle is bout 20minutes when is player vs player cause 13 vs 13 full team big battle and the hunt for ur new digimons it not gona be with toys but trivial questions with that particular digimon actualy to guess his personality and is urs ..by the way i still dont hv name for my game lol
