JUST came up with a better use for the Battle Type/Color icon on my version of the Digimon cards.
Just like in the Season 3 show, Digimon in this card game will have a speed based on a Rock, paper Scissors system.
Red-Beats Yellow
Green-Beats Red
Yellow-Beats Green
Now why do this? Well depending on what Battle type one Digimon is, that card will get the first attack.
For example:
Greymon (Red) Fights a Shellmon (Yellow)
Greymon would attack first.
To make things more interesting, I will make cards that switch your Digimon's battle type to give the player an advantage.
Example:
*Speed Plug-in R*
Change your Digimon's battle type to Red.
What do you guys think?

Kinda like a more In Depth version of the system in the Digi-battle. In digi battle, usually red is vaccine, virus is yellow, and data is green. Usually, but not always.

Exactly what I was thinking. So based on those colors I adapted the simple rock, paper, Scissors idea.
So what do you think?
Also I think the game could still work in a turn based manner. Just that when ever a Tamer goes into battle, both Digimon fight and take damage. The only difference being that on your turn you'll be gaining a card or two.
Which is something I still need to figure out because I might need to raise the number of points one needs to win from 2000 to 4500-5000 since some higher level Digimon give you ALOT of points when deleting them.
Also during battle both Tamers can play Options (Though I'm not sure if I set a limit of 3 per fight or just unlimited till u run out...)

Hell even a really terrible rough sketch of your own can give me an idea of how to make this thing look like.

Ask for the sketch, you'll be waiting. Um....Basically, Skull Greymon's body, but its silver, made of Chrome Digizoid, like you see panel lines and screws and everything, he has MGM's head, but a skeleton, but the helmet is still like it is normally. MGM's Metal arm on both arms, and his wings too, but instead of blue, Chrome digizoid. Has Metal Greymon's Chest panels, but it shoots the Dark Shot missle from it instead of the Giga Blasters.

Question... If he has Skullgreymons body, how can he also have the chest plate from Metalgreymon? You gotta think some things through cuz all I imagine right now is a silver Skullgreymon with some bits and pieces of Metalgreymon attached to him.. I'll see if I can come up with a concept though using some ghost and metal digimon. Edit: Okay here is what I came up with so far. Here is a rough sketch of Metalskullgreymon:  |

Yeah, somethin Kinda like that. Love the Axe on the tail. As for the chest plates, i meant where that little fleshy part is on skull greymon. looks like he's got some MachineDramon in him. Me liiikkeee....

Hey MetalSkullgreymon I haven't tried redrawing this yet, however I am making more of those cards!

Very good. I forgot to mention this, but in my original design plan, his ribs were supposed to be like an actual dinosaur skeleton, you know, like a rib cage, and the chest plates bridged the gap, but i think your version is more practical.
